I like Richard Rossiter's guidebooks - they are always good. The topos are easy to use, and it seems comprehensive. The layout that the Falcon guidebook series uses is also outstanding - much better than any climbing guidebooks I've used in the UK where I am from. I take a star off because there aren't photos of every crag with the routes on. I regard that essential.

Dr. Richard L. Curwin is an author, speaker, and experienced practitioner who explores issues of student discipline, behavioral management, and motivation. During his 45 years in the classroom, he served as a 7th grade educator, teacher of emotionally disturbed children, college professor, and director of the graduate program for disabled youth at David Yellin College in Jerusalem. With his colleague Dr. Allen N. Mendler, Dr. Curwin founded Discipline Associates, created the Discipline with Dignity program, and coauthored Discipline with Dignity for Challenging Youth and As Tough as Necessary: Countering Violence, Aggression, and Hostility in Our Schools.Dr. Allen N. Mendler is an educator and school psychologist with extensive experience working with children of all ages in regular education and special education settings. As a motivational speaker and trainer on topics pertaining to challenging students, he has given workshops and seminars around the world. Great book and helps look at using words in different formats. Only problem is no answer key. This is a good teaching tool

My son, soon to be starting sixth grade, was not excited to be practicing vocabulary this summer. The lessons are fun and short, so we do them together, and they are actually fun. He is learning the words and even using them when we're not working on the lesson. I'm glad we chose this book!

The first story is called "Vampires and Popcorn"? How is this appropriate for kids exactly?Other than that, the general content and teaching tools of the book are fine.

This is much better than other vocabulary curriculum I've seen. My daughter loves it, and so do I. Very high quality.

Great workbook and fun to learn.

My 7th grader uses this for homeschool. She retains the words well and will point out words she's had while watching tv, movies, and reading. "Oh, that's one of my words. It means X." So that's a win in my book! She just took the Iowa Basic Skills test and scored off the charts 13+ for grade level.I have her complete one unit a week at her own pace and​ it has been fine.
