Honestly I can't come up with words to describe how profoundly encouraging this book is. Every prayer is "cited" with scripture references, so you know you're praying in line with God's word (not just someone's personal thoughts or musings). Almost every prayer moves me to tears--not out of sorrow, but because I feel understood, and because the prayers/scripture over and over remind me who God is, and how much more He loves my child and longs for him (them) to come to Him than I do. Perfect for any Christian parent who is struggling with feelings of guilt and shame over a teen/young adult's "lostness" (comparing your children to other "perfect" Christian kids, and wondering what their parents did right ....).

Are there ever tines your heart is so heavy for your prodigal that the right words are just not there? I have been so impressed with this book of prayers for prodigals that I highly recommend it for anyone needing the right words or ideas of what or how to pray for their prodigal. Every prayer is scripture based but also with the feelings/emotions we as parents have toward our prodigal son or daughter. The book even advises that these prayers can be guidelines that can lead us to add to the prayer in the book as we are speaking with God about our prodigal. It also covers a myriad of topics that most people wrestle with in dealing with their prodigal. I had never seen a book of prayers written with so much scripture (it even gives where the scripture is in the Bible. You are praying actual scripture for your son or daughter (or ANY prodigal in your life!!) I wish I could give this book 10 stars because it has been extremely helpful in a very difficult situation.

I cry through the prayer of the day, every day! I highly, highly recommend this book as well as Prayers for Your Children and Praying the Prayers of the Bible by this author. I love, love, love these books! The prayers are straight from my heart. I am giving these books as gifts. They are stand alone prayers, but they also are spring boards into deeper and personal prayers for your own children. I even use it to pray for the youth in our youth group. You won't regret buying this book!

This is an incredible book. If you are looking for help praying for someone else, this book is for you!! I especially like reading it out loud and allowing the Holy Spirit to illuminate certain phrases. I love the positive flow of each day's prayers - nothing negative or condemning in this book! It is all so uplifting and full of hope for that child who has lost his/her way. The Lord will also have me pray phrases over people who are not prodigals, but need just the perfect word from James Banks. I am also so glad he lists scripture references for most of the phrases he prays. This is one of the best books of this type out there, and I've read many (like the ones from Stormy O'Martian - which I also like). There is not a lot of talking in this book - it's pure prayers for others. Each day is only 1.5 pages long with room to make notes or add your own prayer if you want. I've purchased and given away more than 10 copies of this, and the feedback I am getting is that it is perfect for helping them pray for the wayward person they are concerned for.

I was introduced to this book by a dear friend who was leading a discussion group and prayer support group built around Prayers for Prodigals by Dr. James Banks. As we prayed these prayers and learned more about prayer in these situations, we discovered a true treasure. I especially like the insight Dr. Banks presents for parents who are concerned for their children because of a lack of commitment to God on their part. I am doing as the author suggests and "praying God's words" and "focusing on the promises instead of the problems." He encourages us to pray boldly and not to seek patience as we wait for our children to change. Instead of patience, "pray urgently for them because the time is short. " I purchased a copy for my granddaughter and her husband who are raising three precious children. I encouraged her to "pray these prayers now and not wait until they become prodigals. I feel everyone needs to be praying these prayers for their children."

As a daily reader of both Our Daily Bread and Our Daily Journey I became acquainted with the author through his writings. When I learned of this book through his profile on the aforementioned, I wanted to download because of my current life situation and knowing "he could relate." What a blessing this book has been. I love that it is so Scripture based. We get an absolute from the mouth of God assurance of what we are taking in. It also helps me with another in my family that I didn't give birth to but that has walked away from the Lord. Thank you Dr. Banks for your honesty and for blessing us with your writings.

Thank God for this book! I was so distraught over the choices my young adult child was making. She is completely off the path and I can hardly watch the train wreck. But the prayers in this book helped me to focus on the power of God and His plans for my child. The devotions are built around the actual words of God, so the power in them is so evident. The devotions remind me to not fear and to trust Him. I cried the heartfelt tears of a parent with a prodigal the first week of this book, but then my heart was strengthened by the words of God and the encouragement found here. I am freed now from sleepless nights and overpowering heartache. The prayers in this book helped me so much. I cannot recommend it enough to any parent with a prodigal child, teen or adult. It is powerful.

I bought this book during very trying period with my 22 year old son. I had reached a point where it was difficult to even pray for him....sometimes out of anger, sometimes out of no longer knowing WHAT to pray for, sometimes out of sheer exhaustion with the situation. I found this book extremely helpful as it not only gave me words to pray, and scriptural promises to hang on to, but also let me know that there are other parents out there facing agonizing trials with their kids as well. I would highly recommend it to any hurting parent regardless of age, gender, or the circumstances you and your child might be going through.

After seeing / hearing the author on TV, I had high hopes for this book. Just maybe I could get some ideas to help with estate problems /living together agreements for the older generation. which are certainly different from a couple starting out in their 20s. Instead, Love & Money seemsto be a "paid political announcement" to drum up business for lawyers. It is geared to young people by suggesting they make a pre-nup, post-nup, living together agreement or whatever to outline everything they want in a perfect life; Everything from weight management to dealing with pet peeves to spending habits. Sorry, but I don't think life works that way in most instances.The first half makes some good points for having an estate plan, but all (supposedly) need to be handled by an attorney. The second half is pure fluff and gibberish talking about internal roadblocks to wealth such as nutrition and stress.(in my opinion) most of the authors ideas on estate planning can be given a bit of credence, but not everyone can or will want to run to their nearby attorney and fork over thousands for a trust or love contract. And, the author, as an attorney, gives no help to keep matters in your own hands.

I enjoyed this book very much. Ann-Margaret made this book an easy read for just about everyone. I think were this book succeeds is in the fact that it makes you realize that making and saving money is not the end of the story. Its about preserving our hard earned wealth for ourselves and our family. In a moment our wealth can be wiped out by a lengthy nursing home stays or a costly divorce. This book makes you think about things that we either did not know about or did not want to know about. Such things like pre and post nuptial agreements, wills, trusts, etc. This book will help us to prepare whatever legal documents that will serve us the best. For these and other reasons I give it a 5 star rating and encourage everyone to get a copy. Ann-Margaret made this book not only informative but a fun read. She tells of experiences that happened that we call can relate to.

Excellent book for a married couple or anyone contemplating marriage. It's clearly written, articulate and an easy read about issues we can be unwilling to face. It was so good that I actually bought a second book to give to a friend in divorce proceedings so that she will be able to avoid potential missteps in a future relationship.

Excellent reading and information for adults who are married or have elderly parents. Great advice on how to keep your hard earned money.

This book was recommended to me by a close friend who knew I was considering certain familial financial moves. He had used the author in her capacity as an attorney for some estate work in his own family, and was very impressed with her expertise and grasp of elder law, which can be quite confusing. Not only did the book have the answers to my financial concerns, but it covered the material very comprehensively. The author helps the reader resolve financial dilemmas through on-point examples and short vignettes based upon situations she's encountered with past clients, and covers an incredible amount of relationship-related issues that, all too often, revolve around money. This book is more than worth the price!

Such a great book for studying for my A&P practicals coming. The images/views are very similiar to those in the textbooks, they are big and the pages are not as "crowded" as many of the other A&P coloring books. I also LOVE how it guides you, but you have to label the part yourself. Hands down down the best affordable A&P coloring book. I researched them for 2 days before choosing this one.P.S.I hated that there weren't enough pictures of the pages when I was trying to decide which coloring book to buy. I added some pictures in my review for those who might find it helpful.

For the most part this thing is VERY useful for Anatomy 1. Comes with musculature flashcards my professor totally made us memorize. I did have to make maybe three additional it didn't include. But the pictures and diagrams are very thorough. THE ONLY ISSUE IS >>> THE TARSALS ARE WRONGLY LABELED!<<< They're calling the Navicular the "Intermediate Cuneiform" and they're calling the Cuboid the "Navicular" and the Intermediate, they're saying is "Cuboid." It is all F'd up. I'm gonna write the company because this is batty.

My review is based off of what I see as I open the book. Provides a lot of information, flash cards you can tear out and color, and diagrams that are relevant to Anatomy classes. One con, is there are no diagrams for female and male reproductive systems. I purchased another book for that, "Human Anatomy Coloring Book" by Margaret Matt, for $4.99.

This book was not a required material for my Anatomy 201 class, but my lab partner and I both bought it and we have the highest grades in the glass. The section on bones was especially helpful and we are working on muscles now. There are not a lot of full body diagrams for muscles but you can tear out the muscle flash cards in the back. My lab partner tears the pages out and slips them into plastic page protectors. This way she can use a vis a vis marker to practice the same diagram over and over again. I filled mine out directly on the pages so I may order a second copy before the cumulative final for more practice.

I’m 63 and had to go in for sinus surgery and am laid up for ten days. I’ve always wanted to study anatomy for the fun of it (I know some of you think I’m nuts but my mom lived until 90 and was still studying things like this up to the day she passed - learning is healthy). So, I bought this book and a box of colored pencils and have been immersed in this for the whole evening (just got it today) and expect I’ll be buried in it even after I recover. What a great way to study! Wish they had these when I was in high school, I would have absorbed a lot more!

Does not include muscles.

I’m a physical therapy student and even at the graduate level this will help you. The flash cards are very helpful and the book in general is well put together. I definitely recommend this book for undergrad levels but can also be helpful for the basics if you are in physical therapy school (and are a visual learner like me) or a similar graduate level program.

Amazing! I love this book, it's so helpful and really has changed the way I think about Anatomy. As a college student being able to afford and love this book is very surprising. Coloring is great and flashcards for the muscles are perfect for studying for practicals.
