The book itself came in great condition. This book is very practical and easy to read. I was surprised at how much I enjoy it versus several other of my primary care books I have read during my FNP schooling.
I don't really like this book. The book is written in long paragraphs making it really hard for quick reference. My professor made this book mandatory and told us we would love it but that was false so I'm really glad I rented it. There are so many easier ways to learn this information other than this book. Absolutely not a quick reference.
I purchased this book for my final class in FNP school and I wish I had bought it during my first semester! I have a whole library of textbooks now but this is my favorite . The format is easy to follow and is systematic for each disease process. I feel like this book summarizes the need to know items for each condition. It is totally worth the money .
I am a NP student. I decided to rent my books this semester because I was tired of spending a ton of money on texts that I almost always didn't like. After renting this book for the semester I ended up opting for Amazon's "purchase rental" option because I found it to be such a useful resource and I didn't want to let it go. I was surprised that the total amount that I paid (I think) was less than what the book would have originally cost if I had just bought it straight up! Very good option for students, the book was in good condition. I will definitely rent again in the future.
This text book is fantastic. I’ve only thumbed through it and read a couple sections, but so far it is MUCH better than the text required for my NP program. I wish I would have purchased this sooner. I was struggling with learning what I need to know out of the text that is required, and a friend of mine in another program recommended this as it is what they use.
This was a required textbook for school. It was not available for rent, only purchase. Too bad because its not my favorite. Although there is an abundance of useful information, the paragraphs are entirely too long to find what is needed quickly. It works well as a reference book for papers but not as a guide for clinical practice. The lack of photographs made me lose interest rather quickly.
Love this book so far, as I prepare to become a FNP. Its huge... over 2000 pages, wish it was put into two books so it was easier to carry to class. Probably weights about 8 lbs or more. Love the way it is divided up. Excellent quality
Required for school for several classes, but really is a good book. I use it as a reference all the time.
